ROBERT L. BAKER, age 66, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at his residence. Born on May 27, 1941 in Hazard, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Cecil & Amanda (Cottrell) Baker. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army during the late 1950's. He was a painter for Sheller Globe in Union City, Indiana for 23 years. He worked at Walmart in Richmond, Indiana for five years on the maintenance crew.
Preceded by his wife of 43 years, Helen Mae Baker in 2006; grandson, Seth M. Baker in 2000; brother, Ray Baker in 2007, sister, Maryann Kelly, brother-in-law, Greg Stapleton.
Survived by his children & spouses, Robert L. & Cristi Baker of Winchester, Indiana, Tina L. & William Luker of Richmond, Indiana, Deana H. & David Brake of Georgetown, Kentucky, Mike Baker of Eaton, Ohio and Rodney L. Baker of New Castle, Indiana; brothers & sister-in-law, Bobby Joe & Marlinda Baker of Hamilton, Ohio and Dale Baker of New Castle, Indiana; sisters & brothers-in-law, Maxine & Wally Campbell of Dayton, Ohio, Kathy & Bob Meyers of Middletown, Ohio and Norma Gene Stapleton of Eaton, Ohio and Ima Gene & Dave Nickel of Camden, Ohio; nine grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2008 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor Mike Holman officiating. Interment will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2008 at the funeral home.
