Mike was 3rd child. When he was 12 years old he had polio; it left his one side aware of an infliction, his eye was crossed and his left hand did not regain it's full strength. Mike was a slow learner; and dropped out of school in the 8th grade. He worked at a dental tool supply house, and a can factory. He was at odds with our father most of the time. He left home to join the Merchant Marines at the Great Lakes. He was in New York when he became ill with meningitis. He recovered from that and while he was in New Jersey Michael was then found floating in New Jersey Harbor the year The Vestris was sunk. Never learned how the accident happened. He was an easy going person. Made friends easily. They shipped his body home and was buried in West Park, Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1929. They lived on Fenwick avenue.
