Dollie Stringer, 86, daughter of John and Ara Bell Bartlett Morgan, was born Feb. 6, 1914, at Big Creek. She died Dec. 23, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View.
She married Jasper "Mutt" Stringer May 22, 1931, at Round Valley. They had nine children.
Mrs. Stringer was a member of the Assembly of God at Hartshorn. She loved to work outside in her yard and garden.
She was preceded in death by parents; her husband; four children, Bill, Lynn, Linda and Jimmy; four brothers; four sisters; two grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Surviving are five children, Pauline Stringer McGalliard of Houston, Elsie Carmack, Evelyn Dewitt and Eula Brim of Hartshorn and Joe Stringer of Bakersfield, Calif.; one sister, Maggie Carroll of Sutherlin, Ore.; 20 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 38 great-great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 o'clock today (Thursday) at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Summersville with the Rev. Arvel Schweighauser officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.
