Emil H. Botsch (1888-1961) was the son of Carl Botsch and Amelia Roepke Botsch. He grew up in Hempstead Township, Nassau County, but spent much of his adult life in Bayside, Queens County. He married Mabel E. Brooks in 1913, and they had three children: Chester Harold, who died at four months, Olive Marie, and Gertrude Elizabeth.
