Mary was born in McCoy Community outside of Clarksville, Texas, January 3, 1932. She came from a big family of ten brothers and sisters. She lived her life raising her five children as a single parent. She retired from AT&T in Kansas City, MO after 18 years. She moved from Grandview, MO to Texarkana, TX to live with her sister Rebecca Shelton and to be close to the rest of her family.
Mary spent her life living for her children. She is preceded in death by her son Billy Ray Mills, Grandview, MO. She is survived by her daughters Sandra L. Roder and husband Mike (Omaha, NE), Rebecca A. Milkie and husband Edward (Dallas, TX), Jeanie Weary and husband Jeff (Garland, TX) and Patricia J. Hose (Rowlett, TX) and two sisters, Imogene Burns and Bertie Ann Jackson of Texas. She had nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 15 at 11:00am in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
