Walter A. " Barth, 77, of Cissna Park died at 5:30 a.m. yesterday (Dec. 27, 1987) at Carle Hospital, Urbana, after a short illness.

He was born Nov. 5, 1910, in Cissna Park, a son of Fred and Rose Kuebler Barth.

He married Viola O. Freidinger on June 2, 1935, at Cissna Park. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Mary Jo Lober, Watseka; two sons, Robert, Cissna Park, and Charles, West Chester, Pa.; one brother, Carl Barth, Cissna Park; one sister, Edith Henneinke, Cissna Park; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Mr. Barth attended Cissna Park grade and high schools, and the Barber College in Chicago. He barbered for 58 years in Cissna Park and the surrounding areas, and he had done much work as a barber in the Ford County Nursing Home in Paxton and the Charles Wheeler Retarded Children's School at Riley. He was also employed by the state of Illinois for 13 years.

He was a member of Christian Bible Church, Cissna Park, served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was member of the American Legion Post in Cissna Park.
