Longtime teacher Mary Miller, 79 Mary E. Miller of Broomfield died at her home April 6. She was 79. Services were Monday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Interment was at Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery in Boulder. She was born Dec. 23,1909 in Battle Creek, lowa to Stuart and Johanna Baxter. She married Joseph E. Walsh in 1936 in Sioux City, lowa. He died in 1943. She married Alfred W. Miller in 1954 in Danburg, lowa. He preceded her in death in 1969. They had moved to Broomfield in 1956. She was a kindergarten teacher at Emerald Elementary School in Broomfield from 1956 to 1974 and

was a founding member of the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Miller is survived by a son, Steve Miller of Northglenn; five daughters, Betty Benson of Broomfield, Mary Jo Cleaveland of Lakewood, Carol Day of Broomfield, Trudy Walsh-Thomas of Denver and Connie Fuerst of Thornton; two brothers, Bill Baxter of Mallard, lowa and Gordon Baxter of Primghar, Iowa; a sister, Helen Putzier of Ames, Iowa; and 12 grandchildren. Contributions may be made to the Abbey of St. Walburga in Boulder or Primary Caregiver Fund, Lutheran Hospice Care, in Wheat Ridge
