Elderly Mt. Zion Woman Is Dead

Mrs. Sarah Colbert, 78, of Mt. Zion, died at 7 a.m. today at the home of a brother, Lloyd Stroup, Warren Route 1, following an illness of one week. Death was attributed to a heart condition.

She resided most of her lifetime in Huntington County.

Born Dec. 9, 1878, she was the daughter of Charles T. and Elvira Hamilton Stroup. Her marriage to Charles Alvin Colbert, whose death occurred in 1929, took place in 1878 [sic 1900].

The body is at the H. Brown & Son Funeral Home at Warren where friends may call after noon Wednesday.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Mt. Zion United Brethren Church by Rev. Raymond Gaunt. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Warren.
