MADEWELL, Cleo Cathcart (1883-1948)
Mrs. Cleo Madewell, 65, died at her home in Grundy County Wednesday (May 19) morning at 6:45 o'clock. Funeral services were conducted at the Shiloh Methodist Church Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. D.E. Poole and Burl Killian officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Madewell was a daughter of Jim Cathcart and Victoria Woodlee Cathcart, and was born in Grundy County March 2, 1883. She was married to Jesse L. Madewell, who preceded her in death. Survivors are one daughter Mrs. Marcus J. Patrick and one son, Willie J. Madewell, both of McMinnville; and three sisters, Mrs. Houston Killian and Mrs. Mack Killian, both of McMinnville and Mrs. John Mitchell of Atlanta, GA. Arrangements were under the direction of High's. Southern Standard Newspaper, McMinnville, TN. May 21, 1948.
