Emil William Adermann was born April 21, 1913, to his parents, William L. Adermann and Auguste Huhnholz, in Willey Twp., Sargent Co., N.D. Emil's baptism was held on May 11, 1913 at Zion Lutheran Church in Gwinner, N.D.

He received his formal education at Gwinner, receiving an 8th grade diploma and he professed his Christian faith publicly upon his confirmation at Zion on May 20, 1928.

Emil lived at home and worked with his parents on their farm until he was 21, when he moved to Good Thunder, where he made his living as a farmer.

Irene and Emil made their living as farmers. First they returned to North Dakota to farm, then returning to Minnesota and renting farms in Monticello, Chokio, and Madison. His death came Monday, July 10, at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 19 days, at Ortonville's Muncipal Hospital.
