Marion Bennett 79 of 549 Elma Street died at 4:30 a.m. today at Wilma's Nursing Home, 134 South Willard.
He was an employe of Hardsocg Manufacturing Company prior to retiring in 1949.
He was born Jan. 5, 1881, North of Ottumwa; the son of George and Elizabeth Buckner Bennett, and lived most of his life in Ottumwa. His wife Ethel doed May 15, 1935.
Surviving are two sons; Ralph and Raymond Bennett of Ottumwa; two daughters; Mrs. Albert Bower and Mrs. Arthur Woods both of Ottumwa; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and a brother Jesse Bennett of Ottumwa Route 7.
Funeral services will be Friday at Johnson funeral home with Rev. George King. Burial will be at McCormick Cemetery.
