A musician and singer, Daisy was past State President of the Women's Pen Club; in 1967 Honorary Regent of Jane Douglas Chapter, Dallas, DAR (for many years the largest DAR chapter) NSDAR no. 143271 on the Revolutionary service of William Tea-. Also Texas State Chairman of Music for the DAR. She was instrumental in obtaining bequest of a fine building for the Dallas DAR at State Fair Grounds. Member of and State President of Daughter of 1812 National No 6208.
Daisy had one daughter, Marcella Behrends. Marcella married George DeWeese and they gave Daisy two grandchildren. Sadly, Marcella died at a age 41.
