Services for Mrs. Maggie Alexander Greer, 79, of route one, McComb, who died at 4 p. m. Tuesday in Jackson, were held at 3 p. m. today at Union Primitive Baptist Church, Ruth community.
Born in Pike County, Mrs. Greer had lived here all her life. She was a member of Union Primitive Baptist Church and an active church worker. She had been visiting a daughter in Jackson for the past six months.
Survivors include:
Three sons, Sammy, Jayess, Homer, with whom she made her home, McComb, and Houston, Tex.
Five daughters, Mrs. Bessie Boyd, Jayess, Mrs. Minnie Jones, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Lucettie Stephenson, whom she was visiting at the time of her death, Jackson, Mrs. Tressie Brooks, Mobile, and Mrs. Carrie Bryant, Columbia.
Five brothers, Hosea and Mil ton Alexander, both of Columbia, Reuben, Kokomo, and Silas and Gordon Alexander, Comb. both of McComb.
Two sisters, Mrs. Macey Alexander Wheat, McComb, and Mrs. Louie Alexander Smith, Columbia; 14 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
The Rev. J. O. Easterling officiated at the services with the Rev. J. M. Myers assisting. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Burial was in Union Cemetery, with Hartman Funeral Home of McComb in charge of arrangements.
