Harry E. Thacker, 88, of Pickerington, formerly of Londonderry, died March 19, 1989, in Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, following a three-week illness.

He was born May 9, 1900, in Vinton County, to Thomas J. and Ruth Scott Thacker. On March 5, 1921, he married Vesta Florence Graves, who died Oct. 1, 1982.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Freeman, Pickerington, and Mrs. Erle (Catharine) Temple, Columbus; a son, Lucien Thacker, Pickerington, with whom Mr. Thacker lived; three grandsons; a great-granddaughter; four great-grandsons; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Duffy, Columbus.

He was predeceased by three sisters.

Mr. Thacker left his mark on the Londonderry community by developing the Freeman Addition.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Friends Church, Londonderry, with Rev. Raymond McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Fawcett Oliver and Glass Funeral Home 2-8 p.m. Tuesday.
