He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a rural delivery carrier in Townsend for 20 years.
He was an Army veteran serving during World War II where he made many trips across the Atlantic as cargo officer on Liberty Ships.
Mr. Daniels was a retired major from the Delaware Army National Guard.
In his earlier years, he played the part of Doc Holliday for several years at Frontiertown in Ocean City, Md.
Mr. Daniels was well known to horse enthusiasts around the Delmarva Peninsula as the announcer at numerous horse shows.
He and his wife, Ginny, were advisors to the 1973 Delaware Youth Team to the All-American Quarter Horse Congress.
Mr. Daniels was a member and the voice of the Eastern Shore Western Horse Show Association for 25 years, where he served as announcer, officer and exhibitor, as well as past president of the Delaware Quarter Horse Association.
