Catherine D. Hancock, age 73, of Levittown, passed away on May 17, 2008.
She served on the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and was a Majority Inspector at the polls but most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends.
Catherine was the beloved wife of the late Earl C. Hancock, Sr., and is survived by her children, Robin Johnson of Baltimore, Md., Shahid Abdul-Jabbar of Augusta, Ga., Evette Samuel and her husband Fitzroy of Pottstown, Pa., Gary Hancock and his wife Elyn of Columbus, Ga. and Tina Hancock of Levittown. Catherine was also predeceased by her son, Rodney Hancock, and is survived by her grandchildren, Allysia, Rhea, Kareem, Adrienne, Ali, Rashied, Angelica, Jared, Michael, Kasime, Gary, Austyn, Alia, Eleanna, Jovae, and Tyree. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Hubbard of Long Island, Va.; and her sister, Dorothy Doughty of Baltimore, Md.; as well as her longtime friend, Christopher Odell.
Relatives and friends are invited to Catherine's Life Celebration and viewing on Thursday, 7 - 9 p.m. and on Friday, 10 - 11 a.m., at Christ United Methodist Church, 501 Wistar Rd., Levittown, followed by an 11 a.m. service. Interment is on Friday, June 13, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.
