Buck was born on January 20, 1910 in Rusk, Texas to the late Marion Clayton and Alice Ruth (Winters) Buckalew. He married Mary Telitha Massey on February 9, 1930 in Fredrick, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on September 15, 1983.

Buck moved to Graham in 1957 from Gladewater, Texas and retired after 45 years from ARCO as a pipeline pumper. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Graham.

Survivors include: daughter, Marcia Warden and husband Lyden of Ladonia, Texas; sons, Danny Buckalew and wife Pat of Graham and Eddie Buckalew and wife, Nancy of Lynden, Washington; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, a nephew, and a niece.



He was preceded in death by a son, Malcolm Buckalew.
