BETTY JANE BOEDICKER, 74, died, at 9:45 a.m. Jan. 4, 1998, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 20, 1923, in Lima to Carl, E. and Olive Thomas Boedicker. Miss Boedicker had worked as a clerk at the Lima Army Modification Center where she retired in 1978. She also worked at General Dyamics where she retired in 1986. She served with the U.S. Army Air Forces Women's Army Corps during World War II. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and of the American Association of Retired Persons She attended County Line Church of the Brethren and Zion Methodist Church.
Survivors include a brother Walter H. Boedicker of Harrod; two nephews Jim Boedicker and Michael Boedicker, both of Ada; and two nieces, Carol Furry of Lafayette and Laura Mick of Lebanon, Pa.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Chiles and Sons Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Memorial Chapel. The Rev. David Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275, Lima.
Friends may call from 6 to p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
