BASKIN, LA-Services for Mr. Roger H. Miller, Sr., 79, Baskin, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 1991 at Baskin Methodist Church with Rev. P. McKeithen and Rev. Debra Shevlin-Lee officiating. Burial will be in Myrtle Memorial Cemetery in Winnsboro under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Miller died Friday, January 4, 1991 at Franklin Parish Hospital in Winnsboro after an extended illness.
Mr. Miller was a retired farmer and Two Term Member of the Franklin Parish Police Jury representing Ward 6. He was a member of the Baskin Methodist Church where he was a long time Trustee, Secretary-Treasurer and a member of the Board of Stewards.
Survivors include his wife; Mrs. Ruby P. Miller of Baskin; two sons and daughter-in-law; Roger H. and Peggy Miller, Jr. of Kenner, LA; Robert D. and Betty Miller of Panama City, FL; two sisters; Mrs. Mary Lawrence of Winnsboro; Mrs. Sally Watson of Ruston; brother; Wilson Miller of Calhoun; five grandchildren; Melissa Miller of New Orleans; Elizabeth Miller of LaPlace, LA; John Miller of Panama City, Fl; Michael Miller of Kenner, LA; Diana Miller of New Orleans.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Lawrence, Miller Watson, Walter Hemphill, Billy Nelson, Noble Ellington and Charles Miller.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home and from noon until service time at the church.
