Robert David Burr was the son of Dr. Abram and Lillian Rauh Burr. He was a graduate of Gouverneur High School and was married in Gouverneur on Jan 27, 1941. Robert and his wife, Peggy, lived in Fine and Wanakena before they moved to Star Lake. He was a foreman at Jones and Laughlin Steel for 27 years before he retired and was a member of the Star Lake Fire Department.
