Floyd Barham, 60, Monticello carpenter and contractor, died August 8, 1956 in Kirby Hospital. He was taken to the hospital Sunday. Funeral services will be held Friday in the Methodist Church with burial in Monticello cemetery.
He was born August 26, 1895 at Johnston City IL, s/o Joe and Ada Worsham Barham. He married Laura Helen Rhodes in Monticello on January 11, 1919. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons: Lynn of Des Plaines and William of Monticello; three daughters: Mrs. Anzaletta Williams, Grand Junction CO; Mrs. Irene Hill, Wichita KS; and Carolyn Barham, Monticello; his mother of Johnston City; and three brothers: Herbert of Johnston City; Cletus of Brownsville TX; and Lowell of Kankakee; and seven grandsons.
He was in the carpenter business for many years and was a member of Roy Hamm Post, American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I.
