CSM Danny R. Cline, Sr., aged 52, of Grand Rapids, went to be with Christ on Sunday, December 26, 2004.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne; his brother, Phil; and his sister, Beverly.
He is survived by his wife, Lee, with whom he celebrated 25 years of marriage on December 8, 2004.
He is also survived by his children, Kelly and Randy Hensley and their children, Dustin and Joseph; Julie Cline and her children, Lindsay, Ashtyn and Amber; Danny Jr. and Rosetta Cline and their children, Matthew and Chandler; Miriam Tisdel and family and youngest daughter, Danielle Cline; his mother, Pauline Cline; his parents-in-law, Joan and Ed Doty; his brother and sisters, Harold Cline, Mary Borras, Carolyn Darville; his former wife and family friend, Kathy Sisco; and former mother-in-law, Mariah May.
Danny was a retired Vietnam veteran who served with distinction in the U.S. Army for 22 years. He then served the community as director of JROTC for the Grand Rapids Public Schools. Danny served his church as a Steven's Minister and as an occasional assisting minister.
Memorial Services for Danny will be held Saturday, January 1, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2627 - 44th St. SE, Kentwood. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Danielle Cline's Education Fund.
