OBITUARIE: John Skinner one of the oldest residents of Horseheads, died at home of his son, Fred, at West Junction, Friday last, after a long illness aged 79 years. Mr Skinner had been a sufferer for years from bronchitis which about four years ago developed into gangrene causing the sick man intense suffering. the deceased is survived, besides his wife, by three sons and two daughters. They are Joseph and Charles of Big Flats and Fred of Horseheads, Mrs Mary Morgon of Dundee and Mrs McAuliff of Sayre, Pa. Mr Skinner came to this Country from Berkshire, England forty years ago and settled at Breesport, being employed by the Rodbourns. The funeral was held from St. Matthew s Church in this village Sunday of which the deceased was a member at 10:30 o clock. Interment at Breesport.
