Betty Palmer, 93 of Shawnee, OK, passed away on April 12, 2023 in Shawnee, OK. She was born on August 2, 1929 in Henry County, IN to the late Amos and Zena (Kennedy) Piles. Betty married Earl Wayne Palmer on October 5, 1946 and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2007. She was a loving homemaker all her life. Betty did work as a nursing aide in the hospital and in home patient health care. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake pies. Betty also enjoyed planting flowers.


Betty is survived by her daughter, Jackie (James) Huff of OK; sons, Bill Palmer of Alaska, Richard Palmer of Arizona and Larry Palmer of Ohio. She will also be missed by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, Lloyd Piles, Bob Piles, Stephen Pyle and Forrest (Frosty) Piles.


Graveside services are on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 1 PM in East Hill Cemetery, with Warren Engel presiding.
