Mr. Robert Burt, age 76, of Temple, Georgia, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 at Tanner Hospital.
Mr. Burt was born June 15, 1931, son of the late Guardie S. and Katie Lee (Crew) Burt. He was a retired machinist for EAM Co.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Cole Burt of Temple; two sisters, Hazel Hollingshed and Doris and Charles Osborne, both of Dallas; two brothers, T. E. and Mary Burt and Charles S. and Claudine Burt, both of Dallas; step-children, Connie and Larry Prather of Temple and Byron and Joan Cole of Lithia Springs; 6 step-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Guardie S. and Katie Lee (Crew) Burt, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Burt.
Funeral Services were held on Monday, December 24, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Walraven and Rev. Thomas Cole officiating.
Interment followed in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Byron, Keith, James, and Chris Cole, Jeff Bradley and Reggie Osborne.
