Mrs. Jennie Adams Nix, aged about 55 years, wife of Mr. A. J. Nix, died at an early hour Thursday, March 15, 1934, at the Deaconess hospital, at Louisville. She had been in failing health for some time. Mrs. Nix was a native of Harrodsburg, the daughter of Joshua and Nannia Leachman Adams, well known citizens here. She was a woman of fine character, who was much loved by those who knew here. Trained as an instructor of the deaf, she taught in the south several years before her marriage and returned to Harrodsburg, where she lived until the family moved to Louisville some years ago. She was brought back here yesterday.
The arrangements for the funeral had not been made when this paper went to press. They will be announced later. Surviving are her husband, Mr. A. J. Nix, two sons, Messrs. Bernard and John Nix, all of Louisville; seven brothers, Messrs. Clarence, Henry, John and DeWitt Adams, Harrodsburg; Elwood Adams, Fairfield, Ill.; Edgar Adams, White Plains, N. Y.; Litsey Adams, Evansville, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Archie Lovelace, of Sullivan, Ind.
