Etta Bell Alford, 81, of 1619 East Mallory St., died Thursday at a hospital.

Mrs. Alford was a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola. She was a member of the Sacred heart Cathedral.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Etta Hagensick of Gulf Breeze and Leah Coursen of Pensacola; three sons, J. E. Alford, John S. Alford and Frank J. Alford, all of Pensacola; a brother S. R. Bell of Pensacola, 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated noon Friday from the Sacred Heart Cathedral with the Rev. Father Luke Hunt officiating.

Burial will be in the Barrancas National Cemetery with Fisher Pou Funeral Service directing.

The rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel.

Active pallbearers will be Elmer Laird, Louis Seger, Raymond Bell, A. S. Borgensen, Victor Henken and L. E. Torrey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Edward Knight, Dr. James Bell, Red Warren, Sam McMurrian, Hilda Myers and Agnes Dubisson.

Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel.
