Louie G. Gortney, passed away on May 4, 2008 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
He was a native and life long resident of Rutherford County. Louie was a member of Believers' Chapel. He worked for Lewis and Jones Supply as an appliance repairman.
He was preceded by his parents; J.B. and Meddie Jones Gortney. He is survived by his wife, daughters, brother, and grandchildren. [Note. Surviving family member names have been removed to respect family privacy.]
A chapel service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Jennings & Ayers with Barry Mershon officiating. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Jennings & Ayers. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Believers' Chapel Building Fund.
