Marsha Lynn "Honey" Hudson
Marsha Lynn Hudson, age 72, was born on September 4, 1951, in Brooklyn, NY; transitioned into everlasting life on Monday, November 27, 2023.
She graduated from Walter L. Cohen High School in New Orleans, LA; (her beloved Wa-Lo-Co, Class of 1969) and furthered her education at Xavier University of LA.
In her early years, she was a member of Progressive Baptist Church.
She enjoyed careers within the insurance and banking industries and was also a proud New Orleans Saints Who Dat family member.
Marsha leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Dannielle L'Ney Small; two devoted sisters Carol H. Daniels (Donnell) and Gloria Hudson; three grandchildren, MiQuelle Lee Phillips, Miesha Lynn Phillips and Malik Anthony Small, Sr.; great-grandson, Malik Anthony Small, Jr.; bonus sister, Barbara Clark (Albert); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Lee Hudson Pellette and Curtis Hudson; son, Anthony Rubien Small, Jr.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday,
Dec 9, 2023, at Christian Unity Baptist Church, 1700 Conti St., New Orleans, LA; at 10:00 a.m.
Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Interment Holt Cemetery, 527 City Park Ave., New Orleans, LA.
