Services were private for Donald McPherson, a Manhattan Beach resident for 24 years.
Born Sept. 23, 1923, in Los Angeles, he died Feb. 3, 1994, at a Torrance hospital.
Mr. McPherson was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Navy Silver Eagles. He owned McPherson Furniture Store.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey; two daughters, Jane Vogel of Huntington Beach and Marilee Ravana of Glendale; a son, Don Jr. of Mammoth Lakes; a brother, Robert of Pasadena; three sisters, Elizabeth Longwell of Beverly Hills, Marion McPherson of Los Angeles and June House of Texas; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Cremation was at Pacific Crest Cemetery, Redondo Beach. Private services were at sea.
Rice Mortuary, Torrance, handled arrangements.
