Ayres Boal 73, (1879-1952) of 701 Sheridan Road, Winnetka a Chicago real estate broker, for half a century, ended his life by shooting himself in the right temple Friday night in his winter home in Tucson, Arizona, relatives here learned yesterday.

The body was found by his wife, Ruth Boal, nee: Mrs. Paul Haskel. She said he had been in poor health for several years. Coroner James M. Howsare of Tucson ruled the death a suicide.


Mr. Ayres Boal, son of Charles T. Boal, pioneer Chicago Realtor, was a graduate of Harvard University, where he was a track star. He is also survived by three sons, Ayres Boal, Jr., Stewart Boal, and Thomas Boal and a daughter, Mrs. Philip W. Moore, Jr., and 12 grandchildren.
