Richard "Dick" Hall Mullen, 82, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on November 19, 2022.


Dick was born in Hays, Kansas on February 29, 1940 to Fred and Rose Mullen. He attended Fort Hays State University and then the University of Missouri - Kansas City where he graduated with a degree from the School of Pharmacy. After pharmacy school Dick opened Prairie Village Drugs and later Mullen Drugs in Louisburg, Kansas and Mullen Hallmark Store in Ottawa, Kansas. After selling his businesses, he did nursing home consulting until his retirement. Dick loved spending time with his family, coaching and watching basketball, the Chiefs and reading. Dick had a pilot's license and cherished his memories as an aviator.


Dick is survived by his wife, Barbara; children Richard H. (Kathy), Markay (Richard) Caffrey, Richard W. (Jennifer); stepchildren Steve Malley and Debbie (Kerry) O'Toole; grandchildren Bri (Shay) Weaver; Alyssa Mullen; Nick, Ryan and Dolan Caffrey; Courtney and Daphne Mullen; Julia Malley; and Grace and Gabbie O'Toole; great granddaughter Kinsley Weaver; sister Katherine (Art) Lujin; niece Keely (David) Groves and their children Zach, Savannah and Gabriella.


A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Friday, November 25, 2022 at McGilley State Line Chapel.
