Our beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and master quilter "flew away" to be with her savior March 19, 2008. At her request her Lord released her from the ravenus cancer pain inflicting her body and perplexing many doctors. Edith Ann Grennay was born in Bellville, Illinois on January 11, 1950. She graduated from North Central High School in 1968. She married her husband Ken Dobbins of almost 38 years in June 1970 and lived in the Cheney, Wa. area most of her married life. Edi is survived by her husband, Ken; her daughter and husband, Lydia and Dennis Sauers of Cheney; her son and wife Scott and Stacey Dobbins of Avondale, AZ, her son and wife Keelan and Erin Dobbins of Cheney, WA. She is also survived by her sister and husband Linda and Paul Schollenberger of Reardan, WA; and her brother John Grennay of Valley Ford, WA. She is survived by her wonderful and caring parents Harry and Joanne Grennay of Reardan, WA and Glenn and Flora Dobbins of Cheney, WA. The gems of her life were her grandchildren Kenden and Kayden Sauers and Ryann Dobbins. One of her biggest disappointments was the she would not be able to see any future grandchildren. Edi was gifted with the ability to turn ordinary fabric into beautiful creations. She made quilts for family and friends including other cancer patients and premature babies. Her quilting circle of friends enjoyed a unique and special relationship and were very dear to her. Edi loved to have fresh flowers from the yard at her bedside. Now she can enjoy the beautiful bouquets and fragrances of heaven. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Providence Cancer Care, 105 W. 8th Ave., Suite 170, Spokane, WA. 99204 (509-474-5490) or Four Lakes Community Church, P.O. Box 43, Four Lakes, WA. 99014 Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 3 PM at Cheney Funeral Chapel, 1632 W 1st, Cheney, WA
