Mary H Day, 89, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

The family will greet friends from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Thursday, at Snow's at Macon Memorial Park. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00am, Friday, April 5, 2024, in the chapel of Snow's at Macon Memorial Park with private interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald. Rev. Tim Long will officiate.

Mrs. Day was born August 20, 1934, in Fitzgerald to the late Benjamin Franklin Knight and Hilke Linnemann Knight.

She was retired from Georgia Power, Plant Scherer and was very passionate about her job.

Mrs. Day was a long time member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and currently attended First Evangelical Church. She enjoyed working with the children at her church, especially the AWANA program. 

Mrs. Day is survived by her husband of seventy years: Charles Edward Day; daughters: Sharon Livingston (Tony) and Delaine Holt; brother: David Knight; grandchildren: Ashley Hargett (Tim), Bryan Livingston (Marcia), Rikki Riner and Craig Holt; great-grandchildren: Jones, Anthony, Jasper, Benjamin, Olivia, Reagan, Sutton, and Maverick.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the missions programs of either First Evangelical Church, 3601 Fulton Mill Road, Macon, Georgia 31206 or Pine Forest Baptist Church, 1848 Tucker Road, Macon, Georgia 31220.
