MACRI - Joseph A., 82, of Johnstown, died December 14, 2020 at Cambria Care Center. Born November 7, 1938 in Johnstown, son of Joseph and Antonia (Popolo) Macri. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Ann Bittman, infant sister Gertrude Macri. Survived by loving wife of 50 years, Joanne M. (Aveni), children Lisa Leis (David) of Johnstown; Nichola Serafin (David) of Royersford, PA; Joseph A. Jr of Johnstown; Christopher Macri of Johnstown; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters Mary Frances Gorchesky, Rose Pingatore (Joseph), and Angeline Cekada. Joseph was a 1957 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. He enlisted into the US Army and then helped his father in the family barbershop. He worked at Bethlehem Steel Car Shop and at Johnstown America Freight Car Division. He loved going camping with his family and was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan. Friends received from 5-8 PM Friday, December 18, 2020 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Covid procedures will be followed with masks and limited persons. Friends and family will meet for a Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Private Interment, St Anthony Cemetery, Geistown.
