Huntington, Oct 30. - W R Shelton was almost instantly killed in the B & O yards at Kenova Thursday afternoon. Mr Shelton was N & W yard conductor and was transferring cars from one road to another, when in some manner he slipped and fell across the rails. Before he could clear himself the cars passed over his body, almost cutting him in two. He had been in the service of the N & W almost since the road began operating through West Virginia and was well known among railroad men throughout this section.
He leaves a wife and five children to mourn their loss, the oldest daughter being dangerously ill with typhoid fever.
