Obit for James David Uder:

James Uder, 80, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at his home.

He was born April 24, 1924, in Lebanon, to David and Geneva May Garrison Uder.

In 1948 he married Mary Stubblefield, who preceded him in death in 1999. In 2000, he married Zula Carriger, who preceded him in death in December 2001. He also was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Uder, Feb. 7, 1976; an infant sister, Patricia; three brothers, Howard, Kenneth and Wendell; and two sisters, Janet Lindsay and Thelma French.

He was a retired Laclede County farmer and an owner and operator of a grain hauling company.

A member of Oakland United Methodist Church, he attended First Assembly of God Church for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Doug and his wife, Leslie; Bruce and his wife, Cindy, both of Lebanon; his fiance', Clorinda Roach, of Lebanon; a sister, Betty Stephens, of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Jennifer Wiley, Jamie, Brian, Douglas Wayne, Ryan James and Mary Uder; a great-granddaughter, Emma Wiley; and other relatives.

Services for James Uder will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, at Thieme-Shadell-Hicks Funeral Service at Colonial Chapel of Lebanon with the Rev. Kelly Pryor officiating.

Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery, under the direction of Thieme-Shadell-Hicks Funeral Service at Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel.

Memorials have been established to the Kidney Foundation or American Cancer Fund.
