Roger Hood "Hoodie" Geisbert, III, 88, of Urbana, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Ballenger Creek in Frederick, MD. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris M. Geisbert who died in 2008. 


Born on December 8, 1935, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Roger Hood Geisbert, Jr and Cecelia Alviena Knott Geisbert.


Hoodie was a 1954 graduate of Frederick High School and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland in business administration. He also served in the US Army Reserves.


Hoodie was the President of Knott & Geisbert, Inc., a family farm equipment dealership located in Urbana. In his spare time, he enjoyed umpiring baseball at all levels especially girls high school softball; and was a member of the Frederick County Umpires Association. He also played drums with several community bands including the Browningsville Cornet Community Band.


He is survived by his two sons, four grandchildren, and four great-grandsons, and many loving relatives and friends.
