Son of William Curchin, a brickmaker's labourer, and Ruth (nee Carver), a dressmaker, who were married in the Biggleswade registration district in 1872. Arthur died at the age of 6 years and 11 months and was buried on 3 February 1887. He lived in Queen Street, St Peter's, Bedford. Brother of Frances Elizabeth Gower (nee Curchin) (1875-1960).
