Dorcus Faye Sutton, 1938 - 2001
Services for Mrs. Dorcus Faye "Dottie" Sutton, 63, of Winnsboro were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Beaty Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Timothy Sutton officiating. Burial was at Harmony Cemetery in Hopkins County. Mrs. Sutton died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001, in a Tyler Hospital. Survivors include 3 daughters, Gail Goff, Rusk, Belinda Hollaway, Crosby, and Betty Phillips, Hunnington; 4 sons, Danny Sutton, Edgewood, Mitchell Sutton, Nacogdoches, Ricky Sutton, Ennis, and Timothy Sutton; 2 sisters, Nell Grubbs, Wells, and Donna S. Miles, Highlands; a brother, Bobby R. Mills, Payne Springs; 16 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Sutton was born in Hopkins County on May 17, 1938, to Allen & Florence Allen Miles. On Jan. 30. 1953, she married Hubert Sutton, who preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1991. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Pallbearers were Doyle Baude Jr., Bradley Sutton, Canaan Sutton, Randy Whitworth, David Grim and Allen Stout. Steve Hollaway was an honorary pallbearer.
