Son of the late Wilbur and Bessie Riley Ritter, he graduated from Longdale High School. He married Lee Stockton in Fairview, OK. They made their home soutwest of Fairview. She preceded him in death. He farmed and drove the a school bus for Longdale schools. He was survived by one son, Allen Ritter, of Longdale; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. His funeral was held May 17, 2008, with Quinn Parker and Allen Ritter officiating.
