LAMBERT --Linda Elizabeth Lambert, age 79, passed away Monday in Clayton, NM. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Albert Church in Albert, NM, with Rev. Michael Bernard, Pastor of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Raton, NM, officiating. Burial will be in the Mitchell Family Cemetery in Albert, NM.
Mrs. Lambert was a lifelong resident of Harding County and resided at the Triangle Ranch for the past 42 years. She was a member of the National Cattlemans Association, New Mexico Cattle Growers Association, and the Republican Senatorial Committee. She was past New Mexico Cattleman of the Year and past President of the New Mexico Hereford Association. She announced the livestock shows at the New Mexico State Fairs for over 30 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Elizabeth Hopson of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Harry Jeffrey Hopson of Pittsburgh, PA, Linda Jill Swagerty of Clayton, Thomas Jay Hopson of Mosquero, NM, and Joy Elaine Hopson of Albuquerque; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the New Mexico Boys or Girls Ranch. Schooler•Hass Funeral Directors, Clayton, NM, in charge of arrangements.
