MOWAT, Frances Elizabeth (nee Thornhill) Peacefully at Orangeville on Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at the age of 77. Frances was the first wife of Farley, loving mother of Robert (Sandy) and his wife Kim Huntley, David, and proud grandmother of Justin, Courtney and Melissa. Predeceased by her brother Jack. She was a fond aunt to Gail and Wayne Popert, Brian and Leslie Thornhill, and Brenda and Mike Setter. A great-aunt to Suzanne, Andrew, Lindsay, Mark, Tracy and a great-great-aunt to Matthew, Emily and Maddie. Frances attended Bishop Strachan School, the University of Toronto and was a member of the Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service during World War II. She was also an active volunteer at Palgrave Public School and with the Albion- Bolton Library. The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Tuesday, February 20 from 2 o'clock until time of memorial service in the chapel at 3 o'clock. Special thanks to the staff at Headwaters Health Care Centre for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dufferin-Caledon Health Care Corporation, 100 Rolling Hills Drive, Orangeville, ON L9W 4X9. Published by The Globe and Mail on Feb. 17, 2001.
