MALINDA AURANDT
Widow of the late Daniel Aurandt, died at her home in Williamsburg, Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Death was due to old age. The deceased was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Reighart, both deceased, and was born in Maryland, May 12, 1830, being aged at time of death 88 years, 1 month, 12 days.
She was a former resident of Yellow Springs until two years ago when the deceased and daughter moved into Williamsburg. She has been in ill health for several years but has been confined to her bed since Nov. 7, 1917. She became a member of the Lutheran church when a girl of 16 and has been a faithful worker all her life. On Jan. 17, 1850, she was united in marriage with Daniel Aurandt, by Rev. Williams, then minister in Williamsburg. The husband preceded her to the grave three years ago. Mrs. Aurandt was a loving mother and a kind neighbor; well liked by all who made her acquaintance.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Anna Hyle of Williamsburg, Mrs. Mary Little of Altoona, Mrs. Margaret Noel and Mrs. Minnie Herit of Tyrone, Alfred of Yellow Springs and Mrs. Maude, at home; also by forty-six grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. The funeral cortege will leave the late home in Williamsburg on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Yellow Springs, where services will be held in the Lutheran church, in charge of her pastor, Rev. J. M. Rearick, pastor of the Williamsburg Lutheran church. The interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery.
