Son of Charles & Mary Catherine (Eyer) Houser. William married Sarah Bonser May 17, 1855 in Stroudsburg, Monroe Co., Pennsylvania, they had 12 children. William moved his family to Nemaha Co., Kansas about 1864. He died May 31, 1900 and is buried along with his wife Sarah and daughter Anmariah in the Cincinnati Cemetery.

After Sarah died William age 57 married 2nd Oct 6, 1891 in Dubvis, Pawnee County, Nebraska to Martha (Ewing) Storm age 38. They had one daughter Veva R. born Sept 17, 1893 in Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas
