JOHN W. YORK died at St. Louis, Missouri, Monday March 13. He was a former resident of Jamestown. Funeral arrangement were incomplete at press time. Burial is to be in the Taylor Cemetery with Freeman in charge. Survivors are his wife Eva (Allred) York, two sons A.Y. York of St.Louis, Missouri and Charles York of Portsmouth, Virginia, five daughters, Myrtle Danner of St. Louis, MO, Clara Danner of Dayton, OH, Trannie York, Artie Carter and Joyce Schidt, all of St. Louis, MO, three brothers, ‘Mack' York of Whitley City, Kentucky, and James Clura York and Walter York of Jamestown, Tennessee, five sisters Sarah Stephens of Gary, IN, Bernice Smith, Nancy Copeland and Ernie Carter, all of Jamestown TN.
