Walter Haines, 90, a retired farmer and resident of Plano, passed away at the Golden Age Manor in Centerville, Friday, Sept. 10, 1976 following an extended illness. Born Nov. 8, 1885, near Plano he was the son of Alex and Eliza (Hudson) Haines. On Dec. 30, 1915 he married Maude Lyon of Plano and she survives his passing.
Mr. Haines lived his entire lifetime in this area. His parents, 2 infant brothers and 3 brothers Roy, Ed & Charlie, 2 sisters Mrs. Ida Greene and Mrs. Ella Gaines preceded him in death. Survivors include his widow of Plano and nieces & nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Miller-Wehrle Funeral Home in Centerville. Rev. Harry Miller officiated. Burial in Crossroads Cemetery west of Plano.
