Pilot Point - Jimmy Lee Allen, 62, of Pilot Point, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at Denton Community Hospital.
He was born March 29, 1939, in Wade, Okla., to Farris and Irene Tickner Allen. He married Linda Pedigo in Dallas.
Mr. Allen was the owner of Jim Allen's Body Shop in Lewisville. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Pilot Point.
A service was held at 10 a.m. today, Monday, Aug. 13, in the chapel of Huff-Slay Funeral Home of Pilot Point. Dr. Roger Marsh officiated with the eulogy given by Sonny Gibbs. Burial was in Pilot Point Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steve Redmon, Jake Pedigo, Don Enox, Dave Glenenger, Larry Pockrus and Clyde Bowery.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Allen of Pilot Point, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Chance and Sherry Allen of Ponder, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and John Garite of Arlington, Texas; two granddaughters, Lindsey Allen and Kaylie Allen, both of Ponder, Texas; one sister, Freda Sue Taylor of Arlington, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
