Anna May (Lembrick) Behal, age 98, died April 1, 2004.

Anna May Lembrick, the fifth of fifteen children, was born June 12, 1905, in Windom township, Mower County, to Phillip and Mary (Hesler) Lembrick.

Anna, formerly of Austin, resided in New Caney, Texas, for the last several years with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gus Stark. She died April 1, 2004, yes April fool's day, really. She is going to be buried in Austin with Gus Stark and two of her children. She survived three spouses: Arthur Gillespie, Gus Stark and Robert Behal.

She was predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters. One sister, Margaret Louise Steege, remains. These brothers and sisters were constant sources of support and love for each other. Anna was also predeceased by her four children, daughter: Betty Jane Wilson; sons: Rudy Stark, Charles Foster and Robert Gus Stark. She is reunited with each of the children she treasured.

She is survived by two daughters-in-law: Vicki Stark and Lillian Stark Erickson, who she loved dearly.

Living to see, love, comfort and guide five generations, she is mourned and loved by scores of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and five generations of cousins, far too numerous to count or name. They know who they are. From her past to her present we all came to be, faces on her family tree. Anna will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered always.

Fortunately for Anna she never really ever had anything wrong with her. She had a few parts replaced - hips, elbows, etc. - other than that she just got old. She would have been 99 in June.

Should you wish to contribute anything in her memory, please give to your favorite charity or the Parkinson's Foundation in loving memory of her sister, Viva Bumgarner: Parkinsons Research, Park Nicollet Foundation, P.O. Box 650, Minneapolis, MN 55440-0650.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Michael Olmsted officiating. The family will greet friends at a luncheon following the service. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.

The honorary casket bearers will be Larry Wilson, Terry Stark, Michael Gallaher and Russell Inman.
