Janice Brumbelow Slaughter, 88, a retired LVN, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.

Janice was born April 11, 1919, in Comanche County and married Aubry Slaughter on Sept. 3, 1937. Janice taught Adult Sunday School Class for more than 50 years at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Fort Worth.
She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Lynn Slaughter; parents, Sid and Carmon Brumbelow; and brothers, Jack and Aulton Brumbelow.
Survivors: Husband of 69 years, Aubry L. Slaughter; sister, Marjorie Lopez; nieces, Patricia Lopez, Mary David, Carolyn Sue Auvenshine and husband, Jackie, Anna Beth Keith and husband, Kenny; nephews, Richard Brumbelow and wife, Twila, Don Brumbelow and wife, Linda, James Sefzik, Bill Sefzik and wife, Beth, Roger Sefzik and wife, Jennifer; sister-in-law, Irene Sefzik; great-nephew, Jimmy Woody and wife, Angela; and many friends.
